Background and Approach
Before building my mediation practice, I spent more than 20 years in advertising technology and media sales, working across complex business relationships where negotiations often involved competing priorities, high stakes, and long-term partnerships. In that work, I was involved in negotiating and supporting deals around publisher API feeds, partnership agreements, and other commercial arrangements where business objectives, data use, and licensing terms all had to align. I saw firsthand how misunderstandings or disputes over rights, responsibilities, and expectations could quickly escalate—and how unresolved conflict could unnecessarily damage strong business relationships.
That experience shaped how I think about conflict and resolution. I found myself drawn to the part of the work that required careful listening, steady communication, and helping people move through tension toward a workable path forward. Over time, that led me to make a deliberate mid-career transition into mediation and earn my M.S. in Conflict Management.
Today, I bring together formal mediation training and real-world experience navigating complex negotiations, stakeholder dynamics, and difficult conversations. My approach is calm, organized, and pragmatic, with a focus on helping parties reach clear agreements they can actually live with and implement—particularly in matters involving business relationships, commercial disputes, and issues touching data use, rights, and responsibilities.
